Amy Butler Field Tote

I finished my tote last night!  I absolutely love it!  It turned out perfect, I can't wait to use it.  The fabric is from the Amy Butler "Love Collection".  This bag is a wonderful overnight bag and has many pockets.

Classes....

So after making the quilt, my MIL (mother-in-law) recommended that I take a sewing class to help me get going.  I stopped at the Fat Quarter Quilt Shop and signed up for a class to make the Amy Butler "Sling Bag".  Below is the bag I made in the class and have since made many other ones for family and friends.  I just love it!  I totally could make them in my sleep now!  :-)

My First Sewing Endeavor

Last summer I bought this quilt pattern and worked on it some while planning for the wedding.  I actually finished it this past February and I just love it.  I think I did pretty well for learning to sew when I am 30.  I got my first sewing machine for Christmas last year from my mother-in-law and I just love it.....I can't stop sewing now!
